JO-ANNE TARABA  ART

Through each piece I explore the delicate balance between light, colour, movement and energy experienced in nature with the goal of capturing the essence of the invisible forces that drive both personal and universal transformation.

Jo-Anne Taraba lives and works in the Niagara region. She completed a degree in Fine Arts at York University and attained her Bachelor of Education from Western University. She has been an artist and Visual arts educator for three decades advocating for emerging young artists. Her art has been published and is found in private and public collections. Her work invites viewers to pause and connect with subtle energies experienced in nature, hoping to evoke a sense of harmony, introspection and create a bridge between the physical and the mystical. Each piece encourages a deeper appreciation of the interconnected flow that sustains all life and delves into themes of spiritual development as reflected through the power of nature. The artist uses the environment she travels through daily to glean a connection to the divine in the mundane moments that could go unnoticed. While each piece can be enjoyed for its own beauty, within each, there is also slight dissonance present which is meant to stir or disrupt the viewer and inspire questioning. This journey through colour, form, light and movement reflects the artist’s own path of spiritual growth as she seeks to inspire others in their personal journey toward enlightenment.
